Common Questions

Are e-signatures legally valid for Canadian tax forms like T183 and T1013?

Yes. MyCPACRM's e-signatures comply with PIPEDA and the provincial Electronic Commerce Act equivalents (Ontario, BC, Alberta, Quebec, etc.). Audit trails capture signer identity, timestamp, IP address, and document version. CRA accepts e-signed T183 (electronic filing authorization) and T1013/AUT-01 (CRA representative authorization).

Does MyCPACRM support T183 and T1013/AUT-01 e-signatures?

Yes — both are core supported workflows. The system pre-fills fields from your client record, sends the document for e-signature, captures the signed copy, and stores it on the client's filing. Tracking includes when the form was sent, viewed, and signed.

Do clients need to download an app to sign?

No. Clients sign from any modern web browser (mobile, tablet, or desktop) — typically in under 30 seconds. No account creation, no app install, no third-party tool. The signing link expires after 30 days for security.

Can multiple people sign the same document in sequence?

Yes. Sequential signing is supported (e.g., spouse signs first, then partner, then accountant) as well as parallel signing (all parties sign in any order). Status visible at each stage.

Is e-signature included in the price or extra?

Included. Every plan (Solo $59, Team $99, Team Plus $149) includes unlimited e-signatures. No per-document or per-envelope fees. No third-party tool like DocuSign required.

Can I send custom forms for e-signature, not just tax forms?

Yes. Engagement letters, NDAs, internal authorization forms, custom client agreements — anything you upload as a PDF can be sent for e-signature with placeable signature, initial, date, and text fields.
